Sensor Pad

Our pads utilize a patent pending technology that reduces moving parts within the device to provide a more reliable and less expensive solution.

The pads are waterproof with the only potential for liquid ingress being near the cable entry. Tests have shown immersion in 4” of water for 24 hour duration with no liquid ingress.

Saber pads can be roughed-up. In fact, they can be folded, driven over (By wheelchairs or beds), twisted or otherwise abused and keep working. Tear them or cut one in half and it will still work.

They do not have conductive circuitry within the pad that can be damaged or broken causing the pad to fail.

The unique Tight lock™ fastening provides a simple yet effective means of adhering the pad to the bed or chair eliminating pad movement when in use. “White” pads come with a fully adhesive bottom that is exposed simply by removing the clear film backing.

Pad size of 8" wide x 14" (Chair) or 28" (Bed) long. Pads can be made to custom dimensions if required. Minimums quantities may apply.

The low profile grommet is part of a cable attachment design that provides both a robust mechanical link and electrical link through which the cable attaches to the pad.

The design utilizes an industrial termination that eliminates common problems of how to strain relief, mechanically connect & electrically connect the cabling to the pad. Competitors products have numerous ways to do this - all costly and not that effective.

Saber pads are made of polypropylene, not PVC, which is a dangerous material.

From Wikipedia: PVC is a controversial material in that during its production, useful life and incineration, especially in accidental and uncontrolled circumstances, it may liberate persistent toxins. PVC can produce halogens when burned. Halogens are a group of highly reactive elements including fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine and astatine. When products containing halogens are burned, they produce very dangerous gasses.
